In Vilnius city organization is collecting Christmas gifts from people, During Christmas organization visits Retirement houses and gives collected presents for old people. This year I decided join to this action. I made the Christmas tree toy by myself. I chose method which was new for me. I was milling the wool with dry method. As I said it was new for me so, few times I failed and got stuck in my finger with spacial needle. However, I think that work was successful. I’m proud of myself because I not only learned new technique of art but also had a chance to contribute to charity.

This weekend I was in IB convention in Vilnius International American school. In convention I went with classmates. We arrived in Vilnius at Friday and get home at Saturday. In convention we had a chance to communicate with IB students from Lithuania. We talked about balanced CAS activities, learning and other things which are related with our learning system. For me the convention was beneficial because I had a chance to increase my knowledge about self-management, research and communication skills in learning process. I met friends from different schools. With new friends I talked about learning profiles and I took from them some advises how to manage time. Also, activities such as yoga showed me how I can relate my mental condition with outside. This relation helped not only to relax my body but also find balance. I think that this balance will stimulate my concentration in learning. Moreover, it was interesting to look how international school look like and communicate with this school students. The communication promoted my English and social skills. But the main purpose of this convention was to show balance between 3 CAS activities. I realize that CAS activities could be contained and we can combine creativity, activity  and service.

Organization “Liberal youth“ created series of liberal conversations. The main idea of these conversations is to share stories of success with young people. I also had a chance to participate in this event. This time conversation guest was Gediminas Tamulynas. He is a former of organization Wide Wings which create films and animations. This conversation was proficient because it promoted young people believe their ambitions and work for them.

November 3

When I started IB program I don’t have art lesson. When I was child I was going in art classes, so art is part of my life. The painting is one of the ways to realize myself. If I have inspiration I will create something who will show my emotions. This painting shows that everyone people are colorful inside independently from appearance.

February 12

In our school was organized event “Solidary run“. In Lithuania this event appear fifth time. This project purposes are to increase children social responsibility and help children around the world. Organization “Save the Children“ stimulate promotion for poor children. Our class also took part in this voluntary action. We ran 2 kilometre and donated children. The collected money will be used to set up children’s playgrounds in the territories of Ukraine occupied by Russia. We are happy because we had chance to help.

10 September

With classmates we decided to participate in hike with bikes. This hike was for the purpose to decrease the number of young people suicides in Lithuania. We decided to join in this event because it is wide issue around the world. Taking part in this event we incite people to think about causes of youths suicides and how we can suspend this problem.

First of all, the CAS is one element of the IB Diploma Programme core. CAS promotes students in a range of enjoyable and significant experiences not only in school but also in free time. In my opinion, the most important aim of CAS is to develop students who identify goals, develop strategies and determine further actions for personal growth. Also, CAS consist of three stands:

1. Creativity

2. Activity

3. Service

So, I will try to involve in CAS as well as I can.
