From February 3th to 10th I was participating in Erasmus + project. We spend one week in France in Paris in families. The topic of project is “Movement” so we related our activities with this topic. During visit I had to move with plain, train, car, subway, bus, electric bike and basic on foot. It was great to try some new ways of moving practical because we do not have some of them in our city. Also, we were participating in lectures and workshops related with mobility.
One of workshop was bike repairing. This workshop was really interesting and useful but unfortunately our group did not make any conclusion of that. I think that we could evaluate our job in plenary session but we did not.
I participated in activity where my group needed to find the way of traveling around our Erasmus project countries cities (Hamburg, Paris, Milan, Athens, Vilnius, Porto) which would be friendly for environment. This activity was really interesting but my group was very relaxed and I could say that I worked alone. However, I enjoyed this activity but not my group partners who were talking in their native language. So, I think that organizer of this activity could be more strict.
Also, we were participating in wheelchair activity where we needed to look how infrastructure for people with disabilities is adapted. Idea of wheelchair tour was amazing but not very successful. We were struggling because of strike in Paris, so we were waiting in center about 1 hour and have not enough time to explore the city. Anyway, we saw that infrastructure for people with disabilities should be improved. For this activity organizer should think more about details such as traffic hour and others.
We attended in more activities but these are most momentous for me. We saw not only Paris city but also we traveled to Brussels. In Brussels we were exploring city and took a trip around European Parliament. We saw how sessions in parliament are going and one of spokesman introduced about parliamentarians job. We asked them some questions about mobility in future and about solving problems related with pollution, refugees, infrastructure for people with disabilities. Trip in parliament was really great experience.
In conclusion, I enjoyed visit in Paris. My friend Constance was very kind and friendly. So I am very happy that I had a chance to communicate with her. Also, I feel benefits of activities because some of them was really useful. I improves my communication, English, orientation skills and enrich my perception of movement. Visit in Paris was successful despite some organisation errors.
